I play competetive softball for a tournament team, and I am always keeping track of how Center is doing in all sports, especially baseball. Class of 1993 Class of 1991 Memories...
Class of 1986 Robyn (Osborn) Herz Lettered Four Years Cross Country Lettered Three Years Basketball Lettered Four Years Track Favorite Athletic Memory: I have a lot of fond memories of my athletic career at Center. The friendships I made and the shared experiences shaped my life. I have two favorite memories of my 4 years at Center. The first one happened when I was a sophomore and I helped my team break the school record and win the 4x400 meter relay. I got the baton 100+ meters behind Southeast's girl and took off to catch her. I passed her along the back stretch and when I passed her she said "Dang". I kept hearing her say "Dang. Dang." as I increased the distance between us. We won the meet. My second favorite memory was winning the 400 meter at the State Meet and breaking the State record my senior year. I had won the race my junior year and missed breaking the record by .18 seconds - so my goal my senior year was to win again and break the record. After my race the timer came up to me to show my time and I was so happy and relieved because I had accomplished my goal and broke the record with a 55.77. Currently I'm working part-time as a Client Associate at Merrill Lynch which allows me to support and encourage my three children in their athletic and extracurricular activities.

Graduated with BSEE from Kansas State University 1982 Currently work for Siemens in Arlington, Tx As a hobby, I'm a photographer doing primarily sports photography, collages, weddings and portraits (sports is the primary). http://www.allstarimages.smugmug.com/ Married to Kim Bacchus Have two children: Brady, daughter, 19 years old, Soph at Texas Tech University, played varsity Volleyball for four years at Mansfield Legacy HS in Mansfield, Tx Brooks, son, 17 years old, Junior at Mansfield Legacy HS, plays varsity basketball at Mansfield Legacy HS in Mansfield, Tx I live in Arlington, Tx (been in Tx since 1982)
Class of 1973 Curt Johnson Lettered in Wrestling Favorite athletic memory: I was too lousy an athlete to say I did anything great, but enjoyed being a sophomore when the 1970 Football team went to the State Championship. I remember having to hold the blocking dummy as Ron Umphenour and Roland Fuchs, All-State Running Backs, would practice a brutal Wishbone isolation play(was it 34/43 iso?) up the middle. Ouch! After teaching and coaching for 33 years in Blue Valley School District, and one more year in education at Center Alternative School, I am looking forward to retirement and other ventures in ministry with Young Life.
