Runnin' Bulldogs defeat Elida in dual meet action!

Tuesday, April 22

Tuesday afternoon Celina hosted Elida for its final home meet of the season, before it plays host to the 2014 Western Buckeye League Championship meet on May 14 and 16.  Both the CHS Men and Women uppedtheir dual records to 6-0 with decisive victories.  The Guys defeated Elida 113-23, while the Gals picked up a 120-17 win.

The Girls WON 15 of the 17 contested events...11 individual and all 4 relays.  Bekah Carr once again led the way as she picked up 4 individual WINS.  She won the pole vault in a Celina home track record of 10'7", the 100 hurdles, 400 dash, and 200 dash.  Holli Brackman won the 100, Jenna Coon the 1600, Emily Jackson the 300 hurdles, Ashtyn Phlipot the 800, Kelly Moeder the long jump, Autumn Brehm the discus, and Paige Sutter the shot put.

The Boys also collected 15 event wins...12 individual and 3 of 4 relays.  Grant Bader was a double winner, taking the 100 and 200 dashes.  Jack Hinders and Stefan Chittum also had a pair of first place results.  Stefan crossed first in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles, Jack in the long jump and high jump.  Chad Downey was first in the 1600, Roman Mitchell the 800, Michael Cron the 3200, Sam Phares the pole vault, Jacob Rasawehr the discus, and Adam Green the shot put.

Next up...at Jay County on Thursday, April 24, then at theUpper Sandusky Inv on Saturday, April 26.
