Bulldogs sweep Celina Relays Team Titles!

Celina's Runnin' Bulldogs continues their early season success and improvement at Friday's Celina Relays. Both the Men and Women picked up 'Team' Championships. The Girls 'Green Team' scored 100 points, 30 more than runner-up St Marys' 70. Coldwater was 3rd with 56, followed by Celina's 'White Team' (20), and Parkway (12). The Celina Guys 'Green Team' amassed 96 points, 45 better than St Marys' 51. Coldwater took 3rd with 48. Waynesfield-Goshen had 38, 'Celina White' 25, and Parkway 11.
In collecting the WINS Celina broke 8 Celina Relay Meet Records, and 4 Celina School Records. In all, 12 Celina Relay Records were eclipsed by the competing schools. Celina School Records were established by the pole vault duos of Bekah Carr / Emily Jackson for the Girls, and Sam Phares / Jack Hinders for the Boys. Bekah and Emily cleared 19'0" breaking the old record by a whopping 3'6", while Sam and Jack cleared 25'2". The Boy hurdling quartet of Stefan Chittum, Brayden Jones, Cole Stephens, and Dussel Vondenhuevel set a 4 x 110m shuttle mark of 1:03.87, while Stefan, and Cole were joined by Braelen Bader and Grant Bader to clipped nealy :06 off the former 4 x 300m shuttle record by running 2:46.92. The 8 Celina Relay Records set by CHS athletes were the Girls high jump (Bekah, Alyssa Hoyng, Megan Imwalle), Girls pole vault, Boys 4 x 100 shuttle hurdles, Boys 4 x 300 shuttle hurdles, Boys long jump (Jack, Stefan, Cole), Boys high jump (Jack, Stefan, Dussel), Boys 4 x 800 relay (Cole Mertz, Jacob Gilstrap, Nick Marks, Roman Mitchell, Boys 4 x 400 relay (Braelen, Adam Green, Cole, and Nick).
