Runnin' Bulldogs Sweep Liberty-Benton and Spencerville in Season Opener!

Bulldogs WIN Tri Meet!
Celina's 2014 Runnin' Bulldogs traveled to Spencerville on Tuesday, April 1 for thier season opener. The Dogs got off to a good start to the new campaign as they battled not only the host Spencerville and Liberty-Benton, but a 20-25 MPH wind, and 55 degree temperatures to sweep the tri meet. For the Ladies, CHS totaled 78 points, 15.5 more than perennial power L-B which scored 62.5. Spencerville was 3rd with 20.5. The Guys had a little easier time, earning 102.5 points, to Spencerville's 45.5 and L-B's 13.
For the meet, Celina won 18 of te 32 events competed (the PV was canceled due to high winds), took second 17 times, and third 14 times. 'Top Dog' perfomances came from Bekah Carr (4 individual event wins: 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, high jump, long jump), Lauren McDonough (2 wins: 1600, 3200 runs), Autumn Brehm (2 wins: shot put, discus), Chad Temple (2 wins: 100, 200 dashes), Cole Mertz ( 2 wins: 1600, 3200 runs), Nick Marks (400 dash), Braelen Bader (300 hurdles). All four boys relays crossed the line in first.
Second place results were produces by Emily Jackson (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles), Holli Brackman (100 dash), Knedra Fennig (200 dash), Paige Sutter (shot put), Alyssa Hoyng (high jump), Stefan Chittum (110 hurdles, high jump), Adam Green (100 dash), Roman Mitchell (1600, 3200 runs), Garret Winget (400 dash), Jacob Gilstrap (800 run), Caleb Green (200 dash), Grant Bader (long jump) and the girls 4 x 100, 4 x 400 relays.
Picking up third place points were Maddy Weininger (800 run), Megan Imwalle (200 dash), Mahaley Durbin (shot put), Kaeli Schrolucke (discus), Cole Stephens (long jump, 110 hurdles), Drew Donovan (1600, 3200 runs), Stefan Chittum (400 dash), Grant Bader (300 hurdles), Stetson Miller (800 run), Adam Green (200 dash, shot put), Jacob Rasawehr (discus).
Next up for the Bulldogs...The Celina Invitational on Saturday, April 5, with a start time of 12:00 noon.
COMPLETE RESULTS. Changes in results will be in the 200 dash. Kendra Fennig finished in 2nd place for the girls and for the boys Caleb Green was 2nd, Adam Green 3rd.
