Saturday, December 28, Celina Waterdogs came out of hibernation (after a 22 day meet layoff) for participation in the annual Lima Holiday Swim Invitational. The meet, featuring 18 Lima Area schools was held at the Lima YMCA. Despite not winning an event, Celina faired well, as the Boys WON their portion of the meet, with the Girls finishing 5th.

Senior Tyus Temple touched second in his two individual events, the 100 fly and 500 free to lead the way for Matt May's Waterdogs. Jared Fleagle scored well taking 2nd in the 200 free and 4th in the 100 back. Garrett Weininger was CHS's other 'top 5' placer with a 5th at the 200 individual medley. The quartet of Jared, Garrett, Tyus, and Mason Baker finished 3rd in the 200 medley relay. Jared and Tyus were joined by Hagan Kriegel and Ryan Miller for a third in the 400 free relay. The 200 free relay comprised of four freshmen (Derrick Spitler, Grant Guggenbiller, Garrett, and Mason) earned 5th place points.
The ladies finished 5th with 182 points. A strong Versailles team won with 440, followed by OG 2nd with 342, Shawnee 3rd with 207, and Minster 4th with 196, of the 18 teams.
