Western Buckeye League Championships!

Saturday, Jan 26 Celina's Waterdogs completed competition in the Western Buckeye League Championship Meet, hosted by Defiance H S.  The 2013 team titles again went to both Lima Shawnee's Women and Men.  Celina's Ladies placed 2nd, to Shawnee, for the 12th season in a row.  Celina's Guys took 5th.

Highlighting the afternoon were the Western Buckeye League Champion swims of Kasyn Fishbaugh, Tyus Temple, and the quartet of Michaela Wenning, Megan Muhlenkamp, Paige Dorsten, and Brooke Mertz.  Kasyn touched first in the 50 yard freestyle.  Tyus won his specialty, the 100 yard butterfly.  The Ladies came from behind and edged Shawnee in the 200 free relay.  Other 'All WBL' performances (top 6 individuals, top 3 relays) came from Tyus (4th in 100 free), Kasyn (3rd in 100 breast), Collen Byer (2nd in dive), 200 free relay of Lucas Goodwin, Tyus, Ryan Miller, Kasyn (4th), Brooke (3rd in 50 free, 5th in 100 free), Michaela (3rd in 100 free, 4th in 100 fly), Megan (2nd in 100 breast), Kandace (3rd in 100 breast), 200 medley relay of Paige, Kandace, Michaela, Brooke (2nd), Olivia Schlotterer (2nd in dive), and Samantha Ringo (3rd in dive).
