Day one of the WBL Swimming/Diving Championships!

WBL Diving!

Thursday evening, January 24 was the first day of the 2012-13 Western Buckeye League Swimming and Diving Championships.  The Divers took the spotlight as the Guys and Gals competed for WBL titles.  The swimmers hit the water on Saturday, Jan 26, at the Defiance YMCA.

Celina was well represented in the diving portion of the championships.  Dave Koester coached individual Diving Dogs to 2nd place results in both the Boys and Girls events.  Collen Byer was 2nd for the Boys with Olivia Schlotterer earning the silver for the Girls.  Samantha Ringo finished right behind Olivia, claiming 3rd place points.  Chandler Kimmel took 5th for the Guys, with Jamie Miller finishing 8th for the Gals.  The Bulldog Boys' efforts amassed 23 points on the ledger, good for 2nd in the team scoring.  The Ladies sit in a tie with Ottawa-Glandorf as both teams total 30.
