Tuesday evening, Jan 15 Celina's Waterdogs crossed the Ohio/ Indiana border for the third time this season for tri meet action against South Adams and Huntington North in Berne, IN, home of the SA Starfires. The meet served as the final tune-up for the Western Buckeye League Championship meet, coming Jan 24 and 26 in Defiance. The Swimmin' Women picked up a 'team' win as the Ladies out pointed their opponents earning 141 to South Adams' 105 and Huntington North's 75. CHS won all three relays, demonstrating some depth. Individual event wins came from Megan Muhlenkamp (50 free) and Olivia Schlotterer (dive). The Lady Dogs scored 2nd place points from Paige Dorsten (200 free), Maddy Weininger (200 IM and 500 free), Kandace Eichenauer (50 free), Samantha Ringo (dive), Michaela Wenning (100 fly and 100 back), and Megan (100 free). Brooke Mertz touched third in the 200 free and 100 breast. The Boys finished 2nd in their competition. SA won with 132, followed by CHS (97), and HN (81). Kasyn Fishbaugh was a double winner, taking the 200 free and 100 breast. The Dogs other first pace came from Collen Byer in diving. Second place efforts were turned in by Chandler Kimmel (dive), Ryan Miller (100 free), the 200 medley relay, and 200 free relay. Hagan Kriegel was third the 200 IM, with Lucas Goodwin hitting the touch pad third in the 100 back. COMPLETE RESULTS may be found in the 'Document Section'.
