Swimmin' Women WIN Napoleon Invitational!

Waterdogs at the Napoleon Invitational!

Saturday, December 8 Celina's Waterdogs took part in the annual Napoleon Invitational.  Seventeen teams took part in the all day event.  Matt May's Waterdogs continued to show bright spots in the early season as his Ladies captured the Girls 'team' title, defeating perennial champion, and host, Napoleon, while his Guys finished fourth.  The Women tallied 397 points, just 9 ahead of runner-up Napoleon's 388.  Ottawa-Gladorf (321) was a close 3rd, followed by Bryan (262), and Lima Central Catholic (216.5) in the top five.  Napoleon took the Boys division with 426, with OG (308.5), Wapakoneta (272), Celina (235.5), and Bryan (193.5).

'Top Dog' efforts were produced by four winning efforts.  Michaela Wenning (100 free), Olivia Schlotterer (dive), Tyus Temple (100 fly), and the girls 200 medley relay (Paige Dorsten, Kandace Eichenauer, Michaela, and Brooke Mertz) earned championship, first place, points.  A pair of Bulldogs, Tyus (200 free), Kasyn Fishbaugh (50 free and 100 breast) collected runner-up placings.

Michaela: 3rd in 50 free

girls 400 free relay of Kandace, Michaela, Megan Muhlenkamp, Brooke: 3rd

boys 200 medley relay of Hagan Kriegel, Kasyn, Tyus, Ryan Miller: 3rd

Collen Byer: 3rd in dive

Brooke: 4th in 50 free, 4th in 100 free

Kandace: 4th in 500 free

Chandler Kimmel: 4th in dive

girls 200 free relay of Megan, Alexis Zacharias, Maddy Weininger, Paige: 4th

boys 200 free relay of Tyus, Ryan, Lucas Goodwin, Kasyn: 4th

Paige: 5th in 50 free

Megan: 5th in 100 breast
