Waterdogs open 2013 campaign at Van Wert!

Tuesday, November 27 the 2013 Celina Waterdogs began their season at Van Wert in the annual dual meet opener.  The Ladies got off to a great start with a 139-43 victory, while the Men fell 77-103.

The Women WON ALL 12 EVENTS in picking up the 'team' win.  Seven runner-up placings added to the total.  Leading the vistory parade were the relays, with three wins and two 2nds.  Individually, junior Maddy Weininger (200 and 400 free) and freshman Cami Dzendrel (50 and 100 free) picked up a pair of wins.  Micky Wenning (200 IM), Olivia Schlotterer (dive), Kandace Eichenauer (100 fly), Brooke Mertz (100 back), and Megan Muhlenkamp (100 breast) also earned first place points.  Runner-up efforts were produced by Alli Darras (200 IM and 100 fly), Jamie Miller (50 free), Julia Folk (dive), and Jenna Coon (100 breast).

The Guys won four events for the evening's work.  Jumior Tyus Temple was a double winner, taking the 100 fly and 400 free. Other first places came from the 200 free relay, and Collen Byer (dive).  Seven 2nd place swims came the medley relay, 400 free relay, Ryan Miller (200 and 50 free), Kasyn Fishbaugh (200 IM and 100 breast), and Lucas Goodwin (100 free).

The Waterdogs are back in the pool on Thursday, November 29 at Ottawa Glandorf.
