CC season comes to an end at Tiffin Regional!

Tiffin Division II Regional Meet

Saturday, October 27 three Celina CC Athletes traveled to Tiffin for participation in the OHSAA Division II Tiffin Regional Championship, run on the 5000m course at the Hedges Boyer Park.  Athletes competed for births in next Saturday's (11/3) State Championship Meet.  In order to advance to State, an invidividual needed to place in the top 16 at the Regional level.  Cole Mertz, Jenna Coon, and Katlin Robinson represented the Green and White of Celina.  Cole placed 44th of 134 harriers in the guys race.  He was running 23rd until a back strain limited his competitiveness the final 1.25 miles.  He completed the muddy, slippery course in 17:17.  Katlin and Jenna finished 45th and 46th in the gals race, clocking 21:17 and 21:19 respectively.  With non of the three qualifying for State, the 2012 season comes to a close.
