Kettering Fairmont Firebird Invitational

Saturday morning, September 29 the Celina Runnin' Bulldogs traveled to Kettering for participation in the Fairmont Firebird Invitational.  On a beautiful morning for CC the Bulldog Harriers competed well, with fiev Dogs running career best times, two more setiing season best marks.  A number of others ran within seconds of career/season bests.

The Girls took the 5000m course first.  Jenna Coon and Katlin Robinson led the Ladies to a 5th place team result of the 12 competing schools.  Jenna placed 8th, Katlin 14th.  Beth Garwood and Daisha Elliott ran career best times while Katlin and Holly Thobe clocked season best times.

The Boys were next, as part of a 15 school race.  Cole Mertz cruised to an individual championship as he led the guys to a 4th place result.  The other five Bulldogs in the race ran well, with Drew Donovan and Brandon Downey taking 25th and 30th respectively.

Eight Guys took part in the JV 'team' race.  For their efforts the young Dogs finished 9th of the 20 schools.  John Hoenie, Chad Downey, and Rob Axe lowered their personal best marks.  John was 'Top JV Dog', finishing 63rd of the 187 harriers.

Next up...at the Coldwater Lions Inv on Thursday, Oct 4 (partial squad), and at the Portage, MI Inv on Saturday, Oct 6 (partial squad).
