Runnin Women Place 2nd at Mercer County CC Meet!

The 2012 Cross-Country season began Tuesday with the annual Mercer County Meet.  Marion Local hosted the six school event on the grounds of Marion Township Park.  Celina's Runnin' Women placed second in the Girls race, behind state power Coldwater.  The Cavs of Coldwater totaled 46 points (with three CW girls finishing together 1-2-3).  Celina amassed 69 points, four ahead of Fort Recovery's 73.  Marion Local 85 (won tie breaker), Saint Henry 85, and Parkway 159 rounded the field.  The Men's race was won by Saint Henry (34), followed by Coldwater (47), and Celina (67).  Parkway 93, Marion Local 129, and Fort Recovery 139 completed the standings.

Individually Celina's Women were led by Jenna Coon and Katlin Robinson.  Jenna crossed in 4th, with Kat 7th.  Both earned 'All Mercer County' by placing in the top 10.  Renee Robinson (17th), Audriana Adams (19th), and Beth Garwood (21st) comprised the scoring 5.  Kendra Fennig (24th) and Autumn Brehm (30th) completed the varsity 7.

For the Guys, Cole Mertz headed the Celina contingent with his 3rd place result, good for 'All Mercer County'.  Drew Donovan just missed the top 10 as he took 11th.  Contributing to the scoring 5 were Zach Mitchell (14th), Jacob Gilstrap (19th), and Brandon Downey (20th).  Roman Mitchell (23rd), and Aaron Crites (25th) took Celina's 6-7 spots.
