RUNNIN' WOMEN WIN Mercer County Meet!

Friday, May 4 was Day 2 of the Mercer County Meet, hosted by Coldwater.  All six Mercer County H S and M S's took part in the 2-day event.  Friday's events included 1/2 of the field events as well as all running finals, excluding the 4 x 800 relay which was run on Thursday.  Celina Runnin' Women continued their winning ways, taking the 'team' championship.  CHS amassed 192 points to Coldwater's 121, Marion Local's 93.50, Parkway's 49, Fort Recovery's 49, and St Henry's 18.50.  The Men finished 2nd, behind Coldwater.  Coldwater totaled 207, to the Bulldog's 142.  St Henry (76), Marion Local (60), Parkway (34), and Fort Recovery (6) completed the field.

For their efforts the Lady Bulldogs established or tied five County Records and tied one CHS record.  Kacy Stachler cleared 10' 4" in the pole vault to tie both the Celina H S Girls vault record and the Mercer County mark.  Lexi Mills set the 300 hurdle county record at 45.90.  Hannah Fleck ran to a MC  800 record at 2:20.32.  On Thursday Micheala Wenning, Emily Dorsten, Bekah Carr, and Hannah Fleck broke the county record with a 9:42.08 for the 4 x 800 relay.  The 4 x 200 relay quartet of Megan Imwalle, Lexi Mills, Lizz Carr and Gna Strable set a new county standard at 1:46.77.

Winning Mercer County individual event championships were the Girls 4 x 800 relay, Lexi Mills (100 hurdles and 300 hurdles), Wyatt Jackson (110 hurdles), Gina Strable (100), Girls 4 x 200 relay, Boys 4 x 200 relay (Collen Byer, Braelan Bader, Adam Green, Chad Temple), Boys 4 x 100 relay (Collen Byer, Adam Green, Braelen Bader, Logan Laux), Logan Laux (300 hurdles), Hannah Fleck (800), Chad Temple (200), and the Girls 4 x 400 relay (Lexi Mills, Emily Dorsten, Bekah Carr, Hannah Fleck).

Taking runner-up points were the Boys 4 x 400 relay (Braelen Bader, Tanner Shindeldecker, Wyatt Jackson, Logan Laux), Logan Laux (200), Gina Strable (200), Wyatt Jackson (300 hurdles), Lizz Carr (HJ, 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles), Tanner Shindeldecker (400), Girls 4 x 100 relay (Kacy Stachler, Kendra Fennig, Alex Parker, Katie Sutter), Hannah Fleck (1600), Mikel Martinez (SP), Katie Sutter (SP), and Kacy Stachler (PV).

COMPLETE RESULTS: Corrections of the times will be made in the 1600 girls, 1600 boys, 400 girls.  The girls 1660 times should be three seconds faster, the boys 1600 times should be two seconds faster and the girls 400 times should be about :13 faster.  Official corrections will be forthcoming.
