Day 1 of Mercer County Meet completed.

Day one of the Annual K of C Mercer County Meet was competed Thursday, May 3 at Coldwater.  Finals were held in the 4 x 800 relay and 1/2 of the field events.  Preliminary races were held in the sprints and hurdles.

Celina's lone win came in the Girls 4 x 800 relay.  Michaela Wenning, Emily Dorsten, Bekah Carr and Hannah Fleck covered the distance in a season best 9:42.08.  Bekah Carr took 3rd in the LJ with a persoanl best 17' 2.75", with Paige Dorsten taking 3rd in the discus (108' 11.5").  Collen Byer was third in the PV with a vault of 12' 4" and Mikel Martinez earned second in the SP with a 'put' of 42' 6".  the Boys 4 x 800 relay was third in 8:36.42.

Every CHS runner in the prelims advanced to Friday's final, all 30 of them.  Action begins Friday, May 4 at 4:00 with the Girls PV.
