Girls get 12th win of season against Tri-West

January 25, 2013
Cascade High School

The girls Swimming and Diving team went into last night’s meet against Tri-West knowing that they were about to put the finishing touches on a great season. The Ladies have not lost a dual or tri-meet since their November loss to Plainfield.  At the end of the night the ladies had won 10 events and improved their record to 12-2-1 with the 117-63 win over Tri-West.

The individual winners from last night’s meet were: Hayley Rosales in the 200 IM, Regina Solik in the 50 Free and 100 Breastroke, Kristi Deweese in the 100 Free, Lexi Brown in the 100 Backstroke, Tori Breeding in the 500 Free, and Anna Arthur won the Diving event.

The girls are currently preparing for the sectionals and Coach Williams is anticipating positive results. “Our girls have kept their focus and that is a tribute to Coach Cozart.  He has kept them working toward individual goals and relay goals for the sectionals. Last year we had one relay and one individual that made it to the finals. This year we are looking to get all three relays and several individuals in the finals. We have improved dramatically this year and our kids are competing at a higher level than ever before so we are very excited for the opportunity to showcase our talent”.

The girls compete this weekend at the Beech Grove Invitational and then have the sectionals the following weekend.
