2013 Boys/Girls Conference Swimming/Diving Meet

Location:                    DePauw University, Lilly Aquatic Center

                                    10 lanes, one 1M diving board, electronic timing

Host School:               Greencastle High School

Rules:                          The meet will be governed by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA)  rule book.

Team Entries:             Team entries must be submitted via a HY-TEK Team Manager File and received by Clerk of Course Mary Bretscher (mbretscher@depauw.edu) prior to the entry deadline Friday 12/21/12 by 3:00 pm. Your entry should be sent by e-mail.

Relay Event Entries:  Each school may enter only one relay per event.  A school may enter up to eight individuals in each relay and four will swim the relay.  Actual relay swimmers will be declared at the meet.

Individual Event Entries:  Each school will have unlimited entries in each individual event, however only three may score points.  Competitors who do not finish among the top three on their team will be designated as “Exhibition” on the results.  You should not designate an individual as “Exhibition” on your entry.

A contestant maybe entered in three (3) relays and two (2) individual events on the conference entry list. If a contestant?is entered in three (3) relays and two (2) individual events, he/she may participate in a maximum of two (2) relays and two (2) individual events. The contestant may scratch one of the three (3) relays, but may not scratch an individual event to swim three (3) relays.

                                    Clerical errors may be corrected until Friday, December 28, at 3:00 p.m.  The Clerk of Course, through the host school, will inform the schools of any clerical errors discovered; however, the meet directors are not responsible for finding your errors. Suggestion: Post a photocopy of your entry sheets for your teams. Your teams will discover most clerical errors.  Errors on entries received after the entry deadline may NOT be corrected and will be dealt with according to NISCA rules.

Diving:                        Divers should complete an IHSAA 2012/2013 Excel dive sheet for a six-dive competition.  The dive sheets are due to be emailed Wednesday January 4^th, 2012 by 3:00pm and should be sent to Assistant Athletic Director Zac Remsburg: zremsburg@greencastle.k12.in.us.

Admission:                 Adults and students $5.00.

 Bus Parking:              Team buses may drop student athletes off on College Street (one-way North) in front of the Lilly Center, then turn left onto Hanna Street and proceed three blocks to the parking lot at Blackstock Stadium.

Parking:                     Visitors may park cars in the parking lots to the West

and North-West of Lilly Center.

Awards:                     Medals will be awarded for the winners of each event.  Ribbons will be given for places 2-8 in individual events, and places 2-3 in relay events.

Time Schedule:

Diving Warm-up ----------------------------------------------- 7:50 - 9:20 a.m.

Scratch meeting for diving  ----------------------------------- 8:30 a.m.

Deadline for Diving score sheets.

6 Dive competition begins--------------------------------------9:30 a.m.

In each round, the female divers will dive first, followed by the male divers.

Warm-up for swimming  ---------------------------------------11:00 - 11:50 a.m.

or immediately after diving for at least 45 minutes.

Scratch meeting for swimming --------------------------------11:15 a.m.

Pre-Meet Announcements, and National Anthem ----------11:50 a.m.

Swimming competition begins --------------------------------12:00 Noon.
