December 7, 2012Cascade High School
The Cascade boys swimming and diving team got its second win of the season Thursday night in a fiercely fought battle with Danville. The final score for the meet was Cascade 82 Danville 79. Neither team had more than a 5 point lead during the entire night and the final outcome of the meet was not determined until the final relay. The guys posted three wins on the evening with Cole Dugan winning the 100 Breastroke, Alex VanWinkle getting the win in the 100 fly and Kyle Trent winning the diving competition.
Coach Williams stated that the boys are on a roll right now and he is hoping that they can keep the momentum going. “We don’t have the luxury of filling three lanes every event so our guys know they can give nothing away and have to be opportunistic during their events. Tonight we made the best of our opportunities and swam up to the competition. This is a great win for our guys and I am extremely proud of the way they are swimming”.
The guys travel to Clinton Central for a 5 team invitational on December 8th.
