Lady Swimmers improve record to 2-1

The Cascade girls swimming and diving team competed Tuesday night against Brownsburg and Mooresville. The meet final results were Brownsburg 124 Cascade 109 Mooresville 86.
The Cadets won four events on the night . Tori Breeding won the 200 freestyle and beat her previous school record with a time of 2:09.56. Regina Solik outpaced the field in the 50 freestyle. The 200 free relay team of Solik, Breeding, DeWeese and Keegan was 3 seconds better than the field and the final relay of the night saw the team of Breeding, Brown, Rosales and Solik come from behind to win.
Coach Williams was pleased with the girl’s performance. “Overall I thought the girls swam some very strong races. Some of the times were a little off but tonight they swam the competition and not the clock.”
The coach was excited about the performance of the younger swimmers tonight. “ Our younger swimmers showed some great progress tonight. Alexis Brown and Hailey Ferguson are improving in the backstroke, Kristi Deweese and Chasity Keegan are becoming solid performers in the sprints and relays".
The ladies record improves to 2-1 and they will host the Plainfield Quakers on the 27th of November.
