Lady Cadets defeat Monrovia Bulldogs
September 9, 2012By Ashley James of Cascade High School
After a rough beginning to the week the Lady Cadets fought back and persevered to beat the Monrovia Bulldogs 3-1: 25-21, 19-25, 25-23, 25-20. With a tough match the night before and a few girls having to sit out due to injury the girls really stepped it up and worked together to take home the win. Brandyce Sallee lead the offense with 15 kills. Audra Smallwood contributed 13 kills. Defensively Mallorie Smith lead the Cadets with 19 digs. Brenna Sallee and Kellie Mink stepped up as our setters for the evening. They both hustled and put out a great effort in their new roles for the match. Shianne Swanson also played her part with adding 4 aces for the Lady Cadets. The Cadets take on Edgewood at Home Tuesday and will travel to take on North Putnam Thursday night.
