RE:                  Girls Track & Field Regional Qualifying Meet

The West Lafayette School Corporation and Community welcomes all athletes, coaches and fans to the Regional Qualifying round of the Girls Indiana Track and Field State Tournament.

4:30 PM          Gates open

5:15 PM          Field event sites are available & supervised

5:30 PM          Close of entry lists by Clerk of Course

                        5:50 PM          National Anthem

5:55 PM          3200m Relay (2 sections-all places timed)

                        6:00 PM          P. Vault, High Jump, Long Jump & Discus (followed by Shot Put)

                        6:30 PM          100m Dash Trials (top 2 and next 4 fastest)

                        6:40 PM          100m High Hurdle Trials (top 2 and next 4 fastest)

                        6:50 PM          200m Dash Trials (top 2 and next 4 fastest)

                        7:20 PM          100m High Hurdle Finals (or as soon as the Long Jump is completed)

                                                400m Relay (2 sections-all places timed)

The Salisbury Athletic Complex is NOT at the High School!  Remember, our track location is not at the High School! Please share that fact with your parents if possible. Driving directions can easily be obtained by submitting 1000 Cumberland Avenue, West Lafayette, Indiana, 47906 as the destination. You cannot approach the track facility from the west on Cumberland Avenue since it is under construction from Yeager almost all the way east to Salisbury. Buses should park heading west on Cumberland like we have in the past.  There will be an open gate by the practice discus ring and you will see a tent.  After drop off, the first few buses will have to take the first “turn around” and head back east before parking on the south side of Cumberland in order for all of the buses to “fit” on Cumberland Avenue.   All team packets can be picked up in thet tent until 5:30 and then the packets will be moved to the press box.  Only athletes, coaches and administraters can enter through that gate.   We will be opening that gate again at the end of the meet for athletes to walk directly to the parked buses on Cumberland.

Coaches:         Team packets will be in the tent at the athlete/coaches entrance upon arrival.  Awards can be picked up in the press box at the conclusion of the meet or when you are ready to leave.  Hard copy results will be posted during the meet inside the Track garage and complete results will be emailed to the IHSAA immediately after the meet.

Team camps must set up on the outside of the fenced track, either on the back stretch side (south) or on the soccer fields behind the front stretch stands (north).  Please do not set up team camp in the main bleachers.
