JV Scores win over Lee

The JV Men's soccer team opened league play with a victory over Lee County on Monday the 8th of September.
Lee County Forward Alan Pecina opened the scoring with an unassisted goal 2 minutes into the game. Sophomore Yunus Boyraz headed a goal home later in the first half for Cary off a Corner Kick from Freshman Evan Hopson to pull the Imps even at halftime.
In the second half it was Yunus Boyraz putting home a rebound for his second goal of the game. Freshman Troy Kinder added another with 10 minutes remaining for the Imps off a Corner Kick from Freshman Evan Hopson. Freshman Keeper Omar Lara allowed one goal on day.
This brings the Imps record to (1-0 conference, 3-4 overall)
Next game for the Junior Varsity Team will be Wednesday @ Athens Drive, 4:30 p.m. start. |
