Cary will remember him in a special way today, when the Cary High School gym, the site of some of the greatest moments in his life, will be named in his honor. The court where he coached, the school where he played, the town that he has always proudly called home, will honor him.
The honor continues a family tradition. Henry Adams Elementary School was named for his father, a long-time businessman in downtown Cary and a former Wake County School Board member. His mother, Ethel Copeland Adams, was one of the most revered teachers in the county system for years.
