Joe Lapp takes over the Cary High baseball program — four years after he took it over the first time.
Lapp, who coached the junior varsity Imps and assisted varsity last season, previously coached Cary High in 2006.
"I would coach the JV team, and we'd finish, and the varsity team would get ready," Lapp said. "I'd help Matt with his responsibilities and take care of some things behind the scenes."
Since Lapp left, the program has seen four coaches in four years. Most recently, Matt Warden stepped down due as he moved closer to his family.
