Lady Cougars Beat Vikings

The Lady Cougars playing without leading scorer Kaitlin Ragan (ill) and leading rebounder Bailey Worl (injury) used a strong and balanced offensive performance to beat North White 62 to 30.  Carroll jumped out to a 17-9 first quarter lead with 8 points from Makayla Jackson, 7 points from Libby Eller and 3 from Carly Kingery.  North White rallied in the second quarter to pull within six (30-24) at the half.  The Lady Cougars tightened the defense and continued a strong offensive performance to outscore North White 32-6 in the second half.  The Cougars were led in scoring by Makayla Jackson with 23 points.  Libby Eller added 13.  Carly Kingery had a strong floor game as she hit for 9 points and had 8 assists with just 2 turnovers for a great 4 to 1 assist to turnover ratio.  The Cougars were led in rebounding by Eller and Jackson with 8 rebounds each.  Eller and Jackson each led the Cougars with 4 steals each.  Eight of the ten Lady Cougars scored as every one was able to contribute to this nice road win.  The Lady Cougars are now 6 and 2 on the season.
