Carroll boys cross country advances to semistate

Led by Brian Bordner’s 11th-place run, the Carroll boys cross country team advanced to semistate with a fifth-place finish Saturday at the Culver Academies Regional.

Bordner crossed the finish line in 16:55 to help the Cougars score 146 points. Warsaw won the regional with 21 points, getting a winning time of 15:54 from Jacob Poyner.

Carroll advances to Saturday’s New Prairie Semistate.

Joining the Cougars at New Prairie will be West Central sophomore Mickayla Wenzel, who finished seventh at the New Prairie Regional. Wenzel crossed the finish line in 19:41.1.
