Lady Cardinals Best Lady Hawks

The Lady Cardinals returned to TAAC action Saturday afternnon entertaining the Lady Hawks of Maumee Valley. The home team did not disappoint the Cardinal Faithful at "The Nest" as they flew to a fast start outscoring the vistors 21-8 in the opening quarter. The Lady Cardinal defensive intensity and abilility to run the floor continued into the second quarter and the teams went to the break with Cardinal Stritch leading 37-12. It was more of the same in the third quarter as the Lady Cardinals hit the open player and they doubled up the Lady Hawks 18-9 and stretched the advantage to 55-21.

All ten Lady Cardinals contributed in some way to a 71-34 home court victory. Senior Abby Mass led the way with 17 points, Freshman Maggie Merren and Sophomore Cecelia Gozdowski chipped in with 14 and 9 respectively. Juniors Caty Rieker and Kirsten Zalewski contributed 8 points a piece. Senior Hannah Tucker, 6 points, Senior Olivia Latz, 5 points, and Freshman Kali Hardy, 4 points, closed out the Lady Cardinal attack.
