The Cardinals jumped out to a quick 8 point lead, only to see Swanton go on a 16-2 run and take a 18-12 lead after the first quarter, and strectch that lead to 26-18 at the half. Stritch comes out on fire in the third quarter and outscores Sawnton 20-11 to take a 37-36 lead. The Cardinals build a 10 point lead in the fourth quarter, only to see Swanton make another run to cut the lead to 2 with 4 seconds remaining and the Cardinals at the foul line shooting two. The Cardinals miss both foul shoots and foul on the rebound, sending Swanton to the line shooting 2 shots with the chance of tying the game up. But a line violation by a Swanton player disallows the first foul shot and Swanton has to miss the second on purpose. The Cardinals secured the rebound, got fouled, went down and made both foul shots this time and escaped with the victory. Leading the way with a strong night was Austin Adams with 23 points and 9 rebounds, Marquise Harrison, even though double teamed, still manged 16 points and 6 rebounds, and chipping in with 11 points (with 2-3pointers) was Robbie Bekier. Plus, Michael Blazevich hitting big foul shots in the fourth quarter (4 of 6) and 8 of 12 overall. The Cards got another strong performance from the bench, with defensive charges from Conner Kelsey (2) and Shane Goetz(1) to a big steal by Joey Cousino.
