California Country

Spend some time watching California Country for a fast-paced look at subjects important to us all- the food, wine, flowers, meats and fiber products grown in the state and enjoyed far and wide everyday. 

California Country is a weekly 30-minute show that educates and entertains viewers about the family farmers and ranchers who grow the foods you love to eat.  California Country is television from the California Farm Bureau Federation.  It has been on RFD-TV since the network began and has generated thousands of responses from viewers in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

We introduce you to California’s rural communities by putting a face and voice to the people behind the commodities you enjoy.  Stores cover the gamut of how food gets to your table, from farm to fork.  In addition, there are cooking segments, with expertise from some of California’s most talented chefs as well as produce and gardening segments educating viewers on everything from picking the best cherry to planting their own home garden.

The entire California Country staff enjoys a great deal of camaraderie and fun in traveling far and wide throughout the state. The collective goal is to tell the farmer’s story in a fresh and exciting way, and to ensure the message is delivered in a way that is interesting and has value to the urban viewer.
