Assist leader was Jessica Sanders, Fr, with 13 assists. She also added 12 digs, 2 aces and 1 kill. Alysa Burke, So, also had a strong night with 5 assists, 4 digs and 2 kills. Anna Brockman, Fr, had a big game with 7 kills and 4 aces while Bri Collins, Fr, added 5 kills and had no hitting errors. Becca Schell, 8th, came out strong in a new position and added 9 digs, 1 kill and 1 ace.
The Varsity beat Boiling Springs 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-23, 25-22). Leading the way for the Lady Rebels was Kirsten McCraw, So, who had a 3 aces, 16 kills, and 17 digs. Caroline Shin, Jr, and Hannah Fisher, So, provided great serve receive and defense finishing with 19 and 18 digs. Kristen Dodge, Jr, also had a great defensive performance as she led in digs with 21 and added 6 kills, 14 assists, and 3 blocks. Morgan Allen, Jr, had a strong blocking night as she led the Rebels with 4 blocks, 17 assists, and 17 digs. Lauren Ziegler, Sr, also had strong play at the net with 10 kills and 3 blocks. Charrion Morgan, Jr, had one of her best hitting nights with 8 kills.
The Lady Rebels will be playing in the Southside Christian Tournament this weekend, and will return to region play on Tuesday, Oct. 4th at Mauldin. They are currently in a three way tie for 2nd in the region and hope to finish strong as they play each region team again.
