Byrnes Rebels Finalize Football Schedule

The Byrnes Rebels will feature 6 home games in 2011 and will open the football season on Saturday, August 27 at the University of Louisville against Ballard High School of Kentucky. In other out of state action, the Rebels will play Bayside, Florida at home on September 9. With confirming these two games the 2011 schedule is finalized.
Ballard High School is located in Louisville, KY and has an enrollment of 1,770 students. They went 8-4 last year losing to Louisville St. Xavier in the second round of the state playoffs. Ballard is considered a 5 star school and is ranked 8th out of 213 schools for being one of Kentucky's best public high schools. It has one of the highest graduation rates in the state of Kentucky, with 97.27% of seniors graduating. Ballard's notable alumni include:

Bayside High School is located in Palm Bay, Florida with an enrollment of 1,930 students. Bayside had a record of 10-4 last year before losing to Manatee in the semi-finals of the Florida 5A state playoffs. The Byrnes versus Bayside game will be promoted by Gridiron Promotions and admission will be $8.
