Ten-and-under Bulldogs Cheerleader Alana Vazquez wanted to use the offseason to give back to her community. She started in school at West Bristol where she started a penny drive and raised $200 for ARF – the Animal Rescue Foundation on Main Street in Terryville. The money raised was enough to save the lives of two dogs who were living at the facility and in need of medical intention.
Alana’s mother, Crystal Vasquez, feels that it’s important to give back to the community, “In our family we take care of each other and support one another in our struggles and we believe that giving back to the community is equally important.”
