Bristol Bulldogs move on to State Championship Cheer Competition

On Saturday October 20th, The MidConn Cheer competition was held at Crosby High School in Waterbury.  The Bristol Bulldogs had all three of their cheer teams there to compete, the Mighty Mites, 10 and Under, and 13 and Under squads.

The Mighty Mites division does not compete at the state level.  But that did not stop the Bulldog Mighty Mites from winning the "Best Dance" award.  The team head coach, Mayra Sampson, assistant coach, Paulette Sapp, Sara Apara and team parent Celeste Rinaldi couldn't be prouder of the girls. 

The squad includes the following girls: Mikaila Amyot, Allison Aparo, Eden Aubin, Jade Brewer, Kitavalia Colon, Hailey Daniele, Gabriela Echeverria, Summer Gardner, Skye Gardner, Ciera Grenier, Ryleigh Hall, Lauryn Hamel, Ava Higginbotham, Sophia Mazzone, Paige Murphy, Ella Nichols, Brooke Rinaldi, Alexa Rinaldi, Alexia Roy, Emily Siemiatkoski, Alana Vazquez, Heddi Wells, Haley Wells, and Whitney Young.

The 10 and Under Bulldogs came in second place behind the New Britain Hurricanes.  The Bulldogs scored an impressive 132 with zero deductions. The staff consisting of head coach Robin Belzo, assistant coaches, Crystall Coe, Misty Diakon, Kristen Jacques, team parent, Debra Hudak, and demonstrator Victoria Consalvo couldn't say enough positive things about how well the girls performed.

The squad includes the following girls: Morgan Amyot, Faith Boilard, Kiana Cuomo, Madeline Diakon, Emma Diakon, Makayla Dort, Olivia Fiorito, Taylor Glanz, Janessa Gonzalez, Laney Goral, Caitlin Hildebrand, Victoria Hudak, Mackenzie Jones, Lia Kempf, Brie-Anna McCann, Alicia Ruiz, Naviah Santiago, Jenna Sforza, Olivia Skipper, Hailey Vasquez, and Mackenzie Young.

The 13 and Under Bulldogs had an untouchable score of 137 and captured first place in their division. The staff consisting of head coach Ivonne Hamm, assistant coaches, Sara Mitchell, Adriene Ortiz, Angela Ouellette Kristen Sampson and trainer, Nicholas Rollo couldn't be prouder of the hard work and dedication of all the girls.

The squad includes the following girls: Stephanie Antonio, Kayla Beaulieu, Emily Brandi, Kyuzylia Colon, Chelsea DeMarest, Shaunna Deprey, Logan Greger, Angelina Hamm, Alyssa Kaczynski, Kaylee Kurpaska, Ashley Labbie, Erika Lukko, Issabella Marrotti, Mikaela Norton, Kayli Ortiz, Katelyn Paradis, Shiana Perez, Lauren Rooney, Kaylee Roy, Sienna Sampson, Jenna September, Julia Willis.

The next step for the Bulldogs 10 and Under and 13 and Under squads is the State Championship Competition, November 10th at Shelton High School in Shelton, CT.
