Two Named To Academic All-State Team

Two Kearney High School wrestlers were recenlty named to the Missouri Academic All-State team. To be name to this team, the wrestler must be a state medalist and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better.

Meeting that requirement are senior Taylor Ware an junior Grant Leeth.  This is Leeth's third time to make the Academic All-State squad.
 
Leeth is also an Academic All-American for the 3rd straight year. This requires the recepient to be a state finalist or better and maintain cumulative 3.5 GPA or higher.
 
This is the fifth straight year Kearney wrestling has had an Academic All-American.
 
Also Jaret Singh and Kevin Kinney have been chosen to represent Team Missouri in the Annual KC Metro Classic Dual meet.

"This is a very prestigious honor and will showcase the very best senior wrestlers in the Kansas City Metro area," Coach Chad Hopkins said.
 
The meet will take place at Kansas City Kansas Community College on March 5.
