Home » Girls' Basketball NewsDual Losses Fuel Current 4-Game Win StreakDecember 17, 2012 Bulldog BroadcastingThe Kearney Lady Dogs have been on a four game winning streak after suffering their only two losses of the season, a 34-31setback to the state runner up Blue Springs Wildcats and a 35-34 heartbreaker to Cameron. The two losses provided motivation for the Bulldogs. “Both games were so close and knowing that you could have won makes you want to win,” senior guard Cassidy Lee said. “We want to blow teams away; we don’t like close games. We hate losing more than we love to win.” In the most recent Bulldogs victory against Park Hill, 71-27, Lee put up 28 points that included eight three pointers. “I had been struggling shooting wise all season,” Lee said. “During warm-ups I tried not to worry or think too much. Not only did she break out of her shooting drought, but she also brought her points per game average to 8.42 from just 5.16. Lee and the Lady Dogs put their win streak on the line tonight when they take on the Liberty Blue Jays. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 pm at Liberty.
