Ladies Win Consolation Bracket

Bulldog BroadcastingThe Kearney girls basketball team won the consolation bracket of the Liberty North Tournament by defeating Liberty North 46-26.
The Bulldogs were down by 2 at halftime, but allowed just seven points for the rest of the game to outscore the Eagles 29-7.
Kearney was led in scoring by Meagan Paul hitting four three pointers for a game high 12 points.
Jessi Hartzler was selected to the All Tournament Team.
The Kearney Girls Basketball team will be in action Mondaywhen they will play Ray-Pec. Junior varsity begins at 5:30 followed by the varsity.
Three Kearney girls basketball players received individual honors this past week.
Cassidy Lee made the Liberty North Academic All Tournament Team.
Jessi Hartzler made the Liberty North All Tournament Team.
Meagan Paul was the Kansas City Star's Athlete of the Week.
