All-State Honors For Band Members

Kearney High School sent 26  band students take part in the All-State Band Auditions in Columbia.  

There were over 1,200 students competing for spots in the band.  

Kearney students brought home 7 All-State Honors including 4 performing members.  

The performing members will participate in a 3 1/2 day clinic and concert at the MMEA Convention in January.

Steven Brown - 4th Chair Baritone, All-State Band
Kali Dodd - 7th Chair Horn, All-State Band
Alec Neeson - 4th Chair Horn, All-State Orchestra

Adam Lechner - 2nd Alternate Alto Saxophone All-State Band

Jakob Daugherty - 2nd Chair All-State Honorable Mention - Horn
Therin Showalter - 8th Chair All-State Honorable Mention - Trumpet
