Lechner Takes Second At State Golf

May 16, 2012
Bulldog Broadcasting

The Kearney Bulldogs fired a round of 310 Tuesday and tied for fifth in the Missouri Class 3 State Golf Tournament. That, combined with Monday's round of 322, gave the Dogs a total of 632. Notre Dame (Cape Girardeau) also shot a 632.

Sophomore Adam Lechner shot a lifetime best of 70, which is 2 under on the par 72 course. He tagged that with Monday's score of 75 to fire a 145 total and tie for second.

Senior Cam Nissen came in with a score of 79 and tied for 26th with a total of 156.

Junior Luke Parker and senior Jacob Gibbs also stayed consistent as usual shooting 80 and 81, respectively.  Rounding out the scoring for the boys was freshman Pierce Moling firing an 86.

The team total was a good enough score to bounce back and secure 5th place.
