9 Dogs Searching For State Title

The Bulldog wrestling team competed at the Class 3 District 4 wrestling tournament Friday and Saturday and came away with a second place finish. 

The Dog captured five individual district championship out of the 14 weight classes and had seven overall finalists.  Kearney also had two other 3rd place finishers, bringing the total to 9 individual qualifiers. 

"The entire team fought this weekend," Coach Chad Hopkins said, "with every team member winning a match and  12 wrestlers having a shot at the state meet going into the last round."
