Region 5 Swim Meet

This past weekend the Bryan Station Swim Team competed in the Region 5 swim meet. The men’s and women’s teams turned in some impressive performances finishing 7^th and 12^th overall, respectively. Both teams had several individuals and relays that qualified to compete in finals on Saturday.

On the Women's side the 200 Medley Relay consisting of Hallie Scanlon, Arianna Abad, Alli Peoples, and Lauren Guilfoil, finished in 14th place. The Women's 200 Freestyle Relay finished in 12th place. Alli Peoples competed in the individual 100 Breaststroke finishing in 6th place with a final clip of 1:13.92.   

         On the Men's side both the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 Freestyle Relay qualified for Finals. The medley relay team of Cameron Brewer, Ross Wilson, Isaiah Lewis, and Evan Rushing came in 8^th place and the freestyle relay team of Cameron Brewer, Ross Wilson, Kyle Settles, and Evan Rushing finished in 7^th place. Individually Ross Wilson qualified for finals in both the 100 fly and 200IM. In the 100 Fly Wilson turned in a 3^rd place finish with a time of 53.56 and also took 3^rd in the 200 IM with a time of 2:00.45. Cameron Brewer also competed in two individual events taking 4^th place in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 55.86 and 7^th place in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 50.86. Evan Rushing competed in the 50 Freestyle finishing in 17^th place, and also qualified for the 500 Freestyle finals.

         Jackson Lucas, Isaiah Lewis, Evan Rushing, Kyle Settles, Cameron Brewer, and Ross Wilson will represent Bryan Station in the 200 Medley and the 200 Freestyle relays at the State Meet on the 24^th/25^th. Both Brewer and Wilson will compete in 2 individual events as well as their respective relays.
