Boys Finish Runners Up to Wauseon in All Sports Standings

Archbold girls, Wauseon boys claim 2013-14 NWOAL All-Sports Titles

With the 2013-14 Northwest Ohio Athletic League sports season completed, Archbold's girls and Wauseon's boys are this year's NWOAL All-Sports Champions. In one of the closest finishes in recent years, Wauseon edged out defending boys all-sports champion Bryan by just one-half point, 70-69.5 to capture this year's title.
Wauseon captured outright titles in golf, bowling and baseball, while finishing runner-up in football, wrestling and track and field. Bryan claimed league titles in cross country, football along with a share of both boys soccer and basketball titles with Archbold.
Delta was the other outright league champion as the Panthers won the wrestling title. Rounding out the 2013-14 boys all- sports points standings are Archbold (54.5); Liberty Center (50.5); Delta (46); Patrick Henry (39); Swanton (36); Evergreen (16) and Montpelier (14.5).
Archbold successfully defended its girls all-sports championship as the Blue Streaks who finished with 45.5 points claimed outright league titles in girls soccer, basketball, and track and field. Other girls league champions for the 2013-14 season were Wauseon in cross country and track and field; Bryan in girls' bowling; and Delta and Evergreen in volleyball.
Rounding out the 2013-14 girls all-sports points standings are Wauseon(43.5); Evergreen (42.5); Delta (41); Bryan (40); Liberty Center (34); Swanton (24); Patrick Henry (21.5) and Montpelier (8).
