Bryan Inches Toward Record
May 6, 2014, Bryan -- It's been nearly three decades since a boys team has won 15 matches in a season (the school record), but with Bryan's 3-2 triumph over Wauseon on Tuesday evening, the Bears inched closer to that mark as they raised their record to 13-3 heading into the final matches of the season.
Versus Wauseon, Bryan swept the doubles matches as the Bears' first doubles tandem of Drew Kaufman and Eliot Pitman defeated their opponents 6-1, 6-2. At second doubles, Bryan's Nathan Lamore and Scott Ewonus won a hard fought battle. After picking up the first set 6-3, the Bears needed to come back after being down 3-4 in the second set. They closed out the match winning three straight games for the 6-4 second set win.
