Bryan tied for 2nd after first day of the JC Gorman

The Golden Bears traveled to Mansfield this weekend for the 2 day JC Gorman.

JC Gorman, which is a traditionally recognized tournament, consists of a wide range of teams of all levels. This year's field consist of both Lexington and Akron St. Vincent St. Marys, both of which finished 2nd and 5th respectively as a team at last years state tournament.

Heading into day two we are tied for 2nd place with 61 points behind Lexington in first with 80.50 pts. Heading into day 2 we have 4 in the semi finals with Skyler Nagel going 3-0 all by pins @ 138, Shelden Struble 2-0 @ 152, Wes Walter 2-0 @ 160, and Justen Shepherd at HWT 2-0.

Also winning and still wrestling tomorrow are Rian Green @ 126, Antonio Ramos @ 145, Gavin Saul @ 170, and Bronson Beck @ 220. Finally rounding our guys still wrestling is Sam Breneman at 132.

Also competing but went 0-2 is Austin Owens @ 120. Depsite being a freshman, Austin is getting better each match and starting to learn what he can and can't do, while also learning the difference between middle school and varsity wrestling.
