Home » Swimming & Diving NewsSwim teams swept by O-G, but JoJo Rode sets school record.January 4, 2013 By Chris Malanga of Bryan High SchoolThe Bryan Boys and Girls Swim teams lost to Ottawa-Glandorf Thursday, but JoJo Rode set a new record (1:04.77) in the girls 100 backstroke. The girls team lost by a score of 95-89, but swept the relays. The 200 medley relay team of JoJo Rode, Lauren Chaney, Olivia Smith, and Courtney Rode, won with a time of 1:59.79. The 400 freestyle relay team of JoJo Rode, Shaffer, Courtney Rode, and Chaney, finished first with a time of 3:58.14. Individual girls winners included JoJo Rode (50 freestyle), Shaffer (100 and 200 freestyle), Chaney (200 IM and 100 breaststroke), Addy Kuhn (1 meter diving), Smith (100 butterfly), and Lindsey Bockover (500 freestyle). The Titan boys beat the Golden Bears 101-72. Bryan's boys also swept the relays. The 200 freestyle relay team of Matt Frame, Greyson Spangler, Michael Sheridan, and Bryce Alabata won with a time of 1:37.24. The boys 400 freestyle relay team of Frame, Alabata, Shea Vogelsong, and Spangler finished first with a time of 3:55.24. Individual boys winners included Greyson Spangler (50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke), and Brandon Poncsak (1-meter diving). The swim team is in action again next Tuesday at Van Wert.
