The boys team won by a score of 95-74, while the girls notched a 93-71 win. The Golden Bears' Lauren Chaney set a new school record in the 200 Individual Medley, with a time of 2:17.22. In the boys meet, the 200 Medley Relay team of Bobby Kimble, Greyson Spangler, Bryce Alabata, and Hayden Hageman won with a time of 1:59.06. Individual boys winners included Bryce Alabata in the 50 Freestyle, Brandon Poncsak in 1-meter diving, Matt Frame in the 100 Freestyle and Greyson Spangler in the 100 Breaststroke. On the girls side, individual winners included Chaney in the 200 IM and 100 Freestyle, Annika Shaffer in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke, JoJo Rode in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke, and Olivia Smith in the 100 Butterfly. The girls relay teams continued to be successful as the Bears’ 200 medley relay team of Chaney, along with JoJo Rode, Smith, and Courtney Rode took first in a time of 1:59.86. The 400 freestyle relay team of Chaney, Lindsey Bockover, Taylor Pool, and Shaffer also finished with a time of 4:09.77. The Golden Bears will host Ottawa-Glandorf on January 3rd.
