Lady Bears fall to Edgerton, now 1-2

November 30, 2012
By Chris Malanga of Bryan High School

The Bryan Lady Bears were defeated by the Edgerton Bulldogs 49-33 on Friday night.

Bryan trailed the entire game, getting it to within 4 points in the second half, but poor shooting from the Bears down the stretch led to the Bulldogs win.

The Golden Bears shot just 27 percent from the field and made only one three pointer in the contest.  The Bulldogs, meanwhile, shot 47 percent from the floor.

Bryan was led by Hannah Schimmoeller's 15 points, while Makayla Dennis was limited to just 9 points.

Jaime Newman paced the Bulldogs with 16 points, and Kennedy Flower chipped in 14.

With the win, Edgerton moves to 2-1 on this early season.  Bryan drops to 1-2.  The Bears will head to Wayne Trace on Tuesday.
