Girls soccer wins final regular season game

The Bryan girls soccer team won 2-1 Saturday at Van Wert.

The Bryan girls stepped up today to end their regular season with a win.

On a rain soaked field, the Bryan defense, made up of Nicole Scantlen, Sidney Winzeler, Anna Sayarath, Courtney Retcher and Sarah Scantlen, was able to hold Van Wert to one goal.

On the offensive side of Bryan, Alyssa Boecker scored the first goal from Olivia Smiths assist. The second goal was a direct free kick from Kaite Roushia.

"I am grateful to end our regular season with this win," said Jeffe Wildenberg, head coach.  "I am hopeful that we can carry this momentum into sectionals."

The Lady Bears will play Napoleon at home in the sectional tournament.  They are a sectional host this year.
