Home » Girls' Tennis NewsTennis defeats Lima Bath 4-1September 11, 2012 By Chris Malanga of Bryan High SchoolThe Bryan Girls Tennis Team defeated Lima Bath on Tuesday at Rec Park as the Lady Bears prevailed over the Lady Wildcats 4-1.
Tiffany Short continued her dominance this season as she extended her overall record to 10-2 while Megan Steel notched her eighth win of the season at third singles.
At doubles, Jessica Wittler and Mikayla Borland took the second doubles match in straight sets while the first doubles tandem of Cassie Lawson and Ali Saneda went the distance to get the win in three sets.
"We started the second half of the season with a good win this evening," said Bryan Tennis Coach Mitchell Owens. "But we still have areas of our game that need to improve if we are going to compete with the remaining teams on our schedule."
In JV matches, Elizabeth Huard, Kenzie Siller, Kennedy Nicolen, Kristen Seeley, Sydney Snider, Celine Dyndal, Kendra Wheeler, and Megan Plessner all won for Bryan.
