Bears finish 6th in NWOAL

From the coach:

Today we hosted the NWOAL here at Bryan High School. As a team we finished 6th with 89 pts. Placing for us was Wes Walter @ 170. Wes beat Travis Schroeder of Wauseon for the title. Taking Runner-up honors was Shelden Struble at 138. Shelden lost a close one to Luke Kerns of Delta. Rounding out our placers was Antonio Ramos at 120 taking 3rd and Blake Yunker @ 220 4th. At one point we were 4th as a team. I felt overall we took a positive step forward as a team. We still need to learn how to finish a matches out. There were times throughout the day where we did not finish matches. We had chances to win several matches and we couldn't close them out. Next week we begin the 2nd season as we travel to Lima Shawnee for D2 Sectionals. From this point on we need to focus on one match at a time, each match is crucial for us to continue winning and advancing on in the post season.
