JV Monroe CollegeMarch 13, 2013 BRONX COMMUNITY COLLEGEBronx NY – Game 3 of the Bronx Community Broncos Season was underway as they, once again, played host to JV Monroe College. After their last defeat, 7-4 during game 2 of the double-header, the Broncos were out to seek another win as Sophomore Omar Gomez took the mound for this game. Gomez was lights out during his performance, pitching a 5 inning complete game, allowing only 1 unearned run. The Broncos took that game by its throat and never seemed to let go as the scored 8 runs in the first inning, followed by 2 in the second, and 6 in the third. The Broncos, offensively, were led by Richie Bethea who went 2-4 with 2 RBIs and a stolen base.
# 29 Richie Bethea The real man of the show however, was Omar Gomez, whose masterful pitching performance earned him a win, as well as the Broncos second win on the season.
# 14 Omar Gomez The game finished via the mercy rule, after 5 innings, with the Broncos taking the game by a final score of 16-1.
